Adult Congenital Electrophysiology Network

Membership

Membership is by application or invitation, and every application is reviewed by the steering committee. Members are in good standing and in active clinical practice or research in adult congenital electrophysiology. There are no dues.

Rationale for ACE-NET

A home for ACHD electrophysiology providers

The Adult Congenital Electrophysiology Network (ACE-NET) is a collaborative network for electrophysiologists who specialize in the care of adults with congenital heart disease. ACE-NET exists to advance the clinical care and scientific understanding of arrhythmias in adults with congenital heart disease. We connect specialists across academic centers, facilitate multicenter research, and provide a forum for peer discussion of complex cases.

A platform for unusual or challenging cases

In the world of congenital electrophysiology, unique arrhythmias and creative approaches are the norm. Even at the largest programs, complex cases may be seen only rarely, and the most experienced operator may be located on the other side of the world.

ACE-NET exists to close that gap. The network fosters collaboration between centers, turns individual experience into a facile exchange among peers, and builds a collective experience beyond that of any single operator or center.

An opportunity for collaborative research

Major knowledge gaps in adult congenital electrophysiology can rarely be addressed at single centers. ACE-NET brings its member institutions together so that clinical evidence can be rapidly established through the strength in numbers. Learn about current registries, studies and how the network can support your ideas once you are a member.

Registries

Multicenter registries are enrolling new investigators.

Studies

Collaborative studies, with the documents and contacts needed for participation.

Study proposals

Members can suggest novel study designs to the ACE-NET steering committee, after which we can promote your science.

ACE-NET membership

Adult and pediatric, on purpose.

Congenital electrophysiology has its roots in pediatrics but is now practiced by both pediatric and adult electrophysiologists alike. Unfortunately, ACHD electrophysiology care can become siloed within these pediatric and adult models, with the potential to fragment health resources and care delivery. ACE-NET is designed for the benefit of all providers, transcending both training and background:

  • Adult electrophysiologists
  • Pediatric electrophysiologists
  • ACHD cardiologists
  • EP and ACHD fellows
  • Nurse practitioners and physician assistants

Inside the network.

Members have access to the following resources:

Message board

Post a case, ask the room, read how somebody else solved it. De-identified cases only.

Research

Current registries and studies, the documents to participate, and an opportunity to propose your own.

Education

Guidelines, consensus statements and current training programs, collected in one place.

Conferences

The meetings dedicated to congenital electrophysiology, with highlights from members who attend.

News

What’s new in the field, and what the network is doing next.

How to join ACE-NET

Three easy steps.

  1. Apply

Use your institutional email address and choose a password. It takes about two minutes.

  2. We review it

Every application is read by a person, not a filter. You get one email when you are approved.

  3. Sign in and start

Sign in with your email and password, then post your first case, volunteer for a research registry, or just stay and read for a while.

One practical warning. achdep.net is a new domain, so some hospital mail systems file our messages as junk. If you have not heard back, look in your spam folder and add achdep.net to your safe senders.

Research collaboration

Study participation is coordinated in the members’ research area, alongside the study documents. Investigators at centers not yet active in research can contact the study principal investigators to get started.
